I am continually inspired by the local scenery, particularly the coastal landscape. Now working in only oils, on board occasionally but mainly on canvas. I find subjects pick me and almost demand to be interpreted in a painting.

A relatively new comer to Open Studios, I put the paint brushes down after leaving high school and never picked them up for 40 years, then purely by chance I rediscovered my love of painting and drawing.
Better late than never I believe and so I try to get into my studio every chance I get, so inspired by the landscape that we are blest with, always a new vista to be captured.
Always trying to improve my technique and knowledge of this very complicated and challenging passion, loving the journey so far, sure I'll die with a brush in my hand( way to go ).
