Making art as a exploratory, meditative practice is imbedded into Trish Waters existence. Environmental immersion, whether drawing, painting plein air or walking and swimming allow Trish to soak in the colours, textures, harmonies and patterns of nature in order to keep grounded.
This is reflected back to visitors through playful art and craft which showcases the coastal ecosystem Trish enjoys. Expect sunsets and sunrises, stingrays and a couple of octopi as well as her current obsession, light playing through water. OIl and acrylic painting, drawing, woven bowls and silk scarves sit alongside art prints and shell imprinted ceramic bowls.
Trish's professional career spanning 30 years as a secondary visual art teacher have enabled an interesting fusion of styles and techniques. Her personal journey, including a delight in travel, has created a desire to share energy, joy and inspiration with you all. This can be experienced through bespoke workshops and paint and sip events as well as Margaret River Region Open Studios.
The Studio is a large, comfortable, welcoming space where Trish creates, curates and showcases her work. It is conveniently close to the centre of Dunsborough, you can wander over from anywhere in town easily. Once upstairs you will find a couch and some comfy chairs to chill on as you take in the ambience. "Wow" is often heard from visitors as they emerge from the stairwell. Whether you stay for minutes or an extended visit, you will always be made very welcome and you will leave inspired.
