A whimsical world of characters, nature and details. Ian's artwork has won awards and given life to public spaces. His latest projects include the Bungalow art series, Midland Train Station and Perth International Airport.
Ian Mutch’s artwork depicts joyful narratives and playful landscapes, absorbing and entertaining with intriguing levels of abstraction and details. His work is seen on a variety of scales – in the streets, on land and in the studio.
Born in South Africa, Ian draws inspiration from nature, travelling, cultures and patterns. After graduating Design & Advertising at Curtin University, Ian co-published the international street art magazine Kingbrown and has been an industry speaker at Agideas Melbourne, the Design Institute of Australia and Semi Permanent Sydney. Ian has also written and illustrated a children’s storybook titled “More and More and More”, published in Australia, South Korea and Turkey.
