Creativity has always been a part of my world. I’ve been painting and making things since I was a wee little tot—sneaking in late-night coloring sessions under the covers and jumping from craft to craft—clay, knitting, beads... really anything I could get my hands on. As I got older, painting became my main focus, a way for me to slow down, clear my busy mind, and express myself in ways that felt meaningful.
In recent years, my desire to create and curiosity to try new things crept in once again—except this time, I began my adventure into the world of textured art. After a few years of experimentation and play, my signature style was born.
I’ve always loved minimalism, but I wanted to add something unique to my work. I discovered that texture could bring depth and energy without taking away from the simplicity of my designs. It’s this balance of minimalism and texture that defines my style—one that carries an impactful presence with a sense of warmth and joy, while still evoking a calm atmosphere.
The natural world is my biggest inspiration. I've always been captivated by the desert and its raw, rugged terrain—such a harsh environment, yet one that still teems with beauty and life. On the flip side, I've always been drawn to the ocean, a place where I feel most comfortable and at ease. These two contrasting yet deeply connected worlds have become a massive inspiration behind my work. The desert's energy and the ocean's tranquility feed into my art, creating pieces that reflect the warmth, life, and wonder I've experienced in both spaces.
I’m beyond excited to be opening my doors for the first time this year during the Open Studios event! I look forward to connecting in person, showing you how I create, and hopefully delivering some laughter, along with a little extra warmth and joy into your day!!
