Painting is my passion which takes me into a different world, of peace, humour, solitude, happiness... these feelings I try to bring out in my paintings, so that the viewer can experience the same.

I have been painting, exhibiting & selling my artwork since my arrival in WA in 1971. I love painting and depicting life as we see it, or as we would like it to be. Whether it makes you smile with its humour, or takes you to peaceful place, or to a landscape that you would like to walk amongst.. I specialise in textured works on canvas, translating to quirky fun, to abstract, to floral, using oil colour to bring it to life... My landscapes depicting our beautiful beaches, or the vibrant colours of our North west and the wildflowers in Spring.
I love working with pastels, and blend with them some acrylic metallic paint, to give depth. I also love watercolour but has to be restricted to times when I may be in my home studio without interruption.. Many of my watercolour paintings are of old buildings, which have been demolished or fallen down now.
I have owned & run 4 galleries, since 1985. The Old Cheese Factory Craft Centre 1985-1997, Abbey Beach Resort 2000-2020 along with Hang Ups Gallery, Jenny Taylor Designs Gallery 2021-2023
Currently I am an artist in residence with Commonage Pottery & Wines, and delight in talking to the public, and explaining my methods and thoughts behind each painting.
Becoming a single parent in the late 90s, I had to develop ways of making a steady income, without getting a "real" job, so I began to re-produce some of my artwork in prints, placemats, stubby & wine bottle holders, magnets, cards, bookmarks etc... I began painting hand painted glassware about 16 years ago, which is now a major part of my artistic career. Many of my products I wholesale to outlets throughout the South West region...
I am not afraid to take on commission work. I am hoping to continue painting for many years.
