Lee-Anne has always been captivated by the rich, textural canvas of the natural environment - the palette of colours found on a single leaf, the perfectly imperfect surface of a Banksia nut, the flaking delicate layers of a Paperbark trunk, the worn and weathered story told on the surface of a shell.

With a newly built home studio this year, the extra space has meant her love of exploring patterns and textures on her backgrounds has continued to develop. It’s just such a fun way to start an artwork! There is lots of play with mixed media processes, using mark making to capture the changing surfaces of our natural environment that is revealed through time and weather. The creative focus then shifts to the subject matter, usually incorporating natural elements sourced from in her surrounding environment.

Being a multidisciplinary artist, Lee-Anne primarily works in oil paint, but also explores ideas that incorporate printmaking, sculpture, and textiles. With a love of teaching, she finds great joy in sharing skills and learning from others. The opportunity to regularly immerse herself in the stunning natural environment on her doorstep, ensures her work continues to grow and evolve.
Lee-Anne looks forward to meeting you and sharing some of her journey.
