With over 50 years experience as a visual artist I am still as passionate about my artistic endeavours as ever. Acrylic on canvas is the most chosen medium, but I also use a varied selection of materials when desired.
As an artist I am attracted to the baffling, the mysterious, and the inner turmoil that arises from the deep inexplicable desire to express an emotion, or a visual conundrum. I am very sensitive to the external world and recall sensory experiences as well as spontaneous expression as a beginning for much of my work which is diverse in size and mostly very colourful, mixing observation with imagination rather than presenting facts. To suggest is my usual aim; to retain the mystique while telling a visual story and inviting the viewer to step into the mood of the canvas.
