The idea of WILD by Dani is to be apart of mother nature and her natural ways, and to express the true textures, colours, lighting and feelings that wildlife allows us to see with our naked eye. The aim of my photography is to take the marvellous natural expressions I capture and share that through photographic print for you to enjoy in your home or with loved ones.
The images you will find me sharing hope to connect you with a specific natural moment that I have captured, minimally edited, and lovingly presented using environmentally friendly methods.
But how did I get here? Well, working in tourism along the stunning East Coast of Australia, I was blessed every day to experience up close and personal, the wildlife on land, in the skies and under the water. Admiring their beauty, I was constantly wishing I could capture their unique moments and store it somewhere to marvel at later. Funny enough, this is what cameras are designed to do!
Taking myself on an adventure from East to West, I landed in Kununurra, a small town in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It was in this magical place that I managed to get my hands on my first camera and a drone, and started clicking away. Surrounded by stunning wildlife and landscapes, I found this the perfect place to begin my photographic journey. That journey has since brought me to the South West, which I now call home, and where I believe my camera also feels right at home.
I never go into nature expecting a certain subject to present themselves to me, or go looking for a particular bird or animal. I am a bit spontaneous, and find that this favours me in the wild, because that’s exactly what she is too. I usually find myself stumbling across intricate, special, and very real moments and will snap away if given the opportunity. I aim to flow with whatever the world chooses to put in front of my camera at the time, and do my very best to share those moments with all of you.
I present my work currently in a variety of print sizes and options, and cherish the moment when someone connects with a place or creature that I have captured and are able to display that on their walls to bring them constant joy.
