A visual feast of life, my art moves between real and surreal, celebrating colour, symbolism and fantasy. Painting in oil, soft pastel or watercolour, the palette is earth-toned, jewel-studded, enticing the eye into the painting,

I am totally captured by the beauty of our natural world, its changing seasons, wildlife, wilderness, and the challenges Nature presents to the expanding human diaspora. It is overwhelming and truly inspiring. Nature’s glorious diversity constantly urges me to share the beauty by painting it.
Oils, soft pastels, watercolour: each brings a different style. Birds I usually create in the latter, ocean themes in oils, and mammals in soft pastels due to the velvet-like finish so reminiscent of fur.
I believe when I paint a living subject from Nature, its character and spirit, people sense the deep admiration I hold. When the picture is in their home, Nature is with them, the outside inside, a reminder of the power and beauty beyond the walls.
