My name is Victoria, and I am a jewelry maker specializing in handmade silver jewelry that incorporates stones and seaglass. Over the past year, I’ve been developing my skills in silversmithing and discovering how to bring my designs to life through the fusion of natural materials.
My work is deeply inspired by nature. I love using stones and seaglass because they each have their own story—whether they are shaped by the ocean or chosen for their vibrant colors. I see jewelry not just as an accessory, but as an opportunity to carry a piece of nature with you. Every piece I create is one-of-a-kind, and I put great care into choosing materials that not only complement each other but tell a story through their textures and colors.
The process of handcrafting jewelry is a journey of constant learning and experimentation. I enjoy exploring different techniques with silver, from soldering to texturing, and I take pride in my ability to transform raw materials into meaningful, wearable art. For me, the challenge lies in capturing the beauty of nature in a way that is both timeless and modern. Whether I’m designing a pendant, ring, or bracelet, my goal is to create something that resonates with the wearer on a personal level.
I am thrilled to be part of the Open Studios event in Margaret River and excited to share my journey with visitors. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase my work and engage with the community. I look forward to showing people the process behind my pieces, explaining how each design is created from start to finish, and sharing the story behind each material I use. I hope to inspire others with my craft, whether they are fellow artists, jewelry enthusiasts, or simply curious about the process of making handmade jewelry.
Through this event, I aim to not only showcase the beauty of my work but also offer a deeper understanding of the care and attention to detail that goes into each piece. Jewelry has the power to carry meaning, and I want to create pieces that people can connect with and treasure for years to come. I am excited to be part of this creative community and look forward to the opportunity to share my passion for jewelry making at the Open Studios event.
