Vicki works in warm glass and is drawn to using glass powder and fritt with inspiration provided by the pristine environment of the south-west. More recently she has begun to explore figurative works and the human condition along with assemblages, using air dry clay either as stand-alone sculptures or with glass. Vicky works in warm glass and is particularly drawn to using glass powder and fritt. The colours, patterns and textures of the pristine environment of the south-west provide inspiration for her sculptural works which can include interwoven natural materials. More recently she has begun to explore figurative works and the human condition along with assemblages, using air dry clay either as stand-alone sculptures or with glass, and other materials. Vicky holds a Bachelor of Art (Fine Art and Visual Culture) from Curtin University and has continued to expand her skills with various medium.


Events

Making Bush babies

Make your own tiny Bush Baby, 12cms, to take home for a keepsake or a gift. Measuring 12 cms this will provide an introduction to making air dry clay figurative sculptures from forming the body, painting the face, and finishing off with textiles. All materials are included. $100 per person. Maximum of 8 people. Book in with your friends and have a fun creative morning. Morning tea provided. Bookings essential. There are two workshops: Wednesday 11 September and Wednesday 18 September from 9am to 12 noon.

Silver Clay Pendant

Learn the basics of using silver clay to make a decorative pendant with surface texture. You will learn how to condition the clay, shape and sculpt, fire and finish. All materials are included. $100 per person. Maximum of 8 people. Book in with your friends and have a fun and creative time. Afternoon tea provided. Bookings essential.
