I am passionate about the landscape that has been the backdrop to my fortunate life. Having had 10 highly successful solo exhibitions, and numerous collaboratives my work is held in collections through-out Australia and overseas.
After leaving the remote Kimberley, my home for over 30 years, I now find myself in this glorious, Southern land. I believe the natural environment has a great deal to offer the human spirit. I seek to trigger a memory of time and place, of peace and happiness, and of life experience within our beautiful world.
Over the last 15 years I have fine-tuned the process of creating my style of landscape inspired art on shimmering aluminium panels. Modern and slimline, the paint presents differently on the aluminium, under lights these works come alive as they appear to be lit from within.
The ’Dark Arts Collection’ was born out of a time of uncertainty. Unable to get into a flow state with my more representational landscapes, I began to experiment with different mediums, finding my way with inks & oils on the metallic sub-straight. These are more intuitive works a combination of fluid forms & orbs interwoven with the more familiar elements of our natural world.
I work full time on both styles of artwork out of my Metricup based Studio and have Gallery representation in Western Australia, Victoria & Queensland.
