As both an artist and a marine biologist, my creative practice is an exploration of the natural world—particularly the ocean and its mesmerizing inhabitants. I work across a diverse range of mediums, from acrylic and ink painting to Japanese gyotaku fish printing, mixed media, and digital art. My own style, which I call "modern pop-art portraiture," reflects my fascination with bold colors, striking contrasts, and the interplay of light and shadow.
The ocean is a constant source of inspiration, flowing through my work in vivid depictions of turtles, seadragons, abstract reefscapes, and delicate fish prints. I also extend my creativity beyond canvas, painting on recycled surfboards and integrating elements of my travels and time spent in the bush. Experimentation is at the heart of my process—I thrive on artistic freedom, allowing ideas to evolve organically and embracing new techniques along the way.
Each piece I create is a bold, colorful expression of my love for nature, movement, and storytelling. My aim is to offer something for everyone, whether through an intricate portrait, an abstract marine landscape, or a piece from my range of homewares, including art-printed cushions, blankets, and tablecloths.
Art, for me, is about connection—connecting people with the beauty of the natural world and sparking curiosity through color and form. I invite you to explore my work and discover the vibrancy of the ocean and beyond through my artistic lens.
