My name is Melanie Hume, and I am a noongar woman that lives in Busselton.
I have lived in Busselton for majority of my life. I have both birth and raise all four of my children, my two grandchildren have been born here too. I have a close relationship with my family that live in the area as well as my mother.
The type of artwork that I paint is traditional dot painting with aboriginal symbols that tells stories of what the painting means and symbolizes. Much of my artwork is inspired by the ocean, from the animals to the flowing currents.
