Jacqui moved to Margaret River almost 40 years ago, chasing the surf after winning a number of competitions through her teenage years. She is inspired by the region's stunning coastline, using vibrant colours and intricate detail to showcase the patterns, light and texture of the natural landscape. She has recently began exploring resin art as a new medium.
Her work nods to an early interest in fantasy, mythology and spiritual connection with nature, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in the long, warm days of an endless, magical summer.
Jacqui's work has received wide critical acclaim, winning awards such as:
Packers Choice Award Winner (Rivermouth Glow), Margaret River Independent School Art Auction 2022
Highly Commended Artist Award Winner, Vasse Art Awards 2014
Visual Stories People's Choice Prize Winner (Bushfire Triptych), Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival & Arts Margaret River 2013
Visual Stories People's Choice Prize Winner (November Aftermath), Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival & Arts Margaret River 2012
