Jacqui began her career creating fantasy-inspired art pieces, including mermaids, fairies and other fantasy scenes and creatures. She completed artworks for the families and school after the Gracetown tragedy. Over the years her works have evolved into seascapes and forest scenes of the region, but still hold the twinkle of fantasy from her earlier works.
