My work is about collections, recollections and displays a fondness for old and interesting objects. Abandoned homesteads, rusted farm machinery, and bric-a-brac feature in my work. Colour and the beautiful textures of aging are my encouragement.
“Caroline evokes a presence and a sense of nostalgia in her work”.
I want to capture a scene and make it my own. It’s also about preserving past lives and history. These old places are disappearing and I like to hold onto them in my work.
During 2024, I travelled extensively, took many photos and have produced a body of work which reflects my wanderings.
