I have participated in the Open Studio event for the first eight years, showing my orchid and banksia wildflower designs. These have been presented on a variety of media, from rag papers to fabrics. On bags, cushions, scarves and clothing. In 2022 I took the year off from the Open Studio to complete some other projects. One was turning my front yard into a vegetable and herb garden. Which has been a lot of fun. This year, 2023, I have started to make some paths around it and placing my favorite ceramic sculptures that I have made in my garden. I have been doing some online painting classes and a couple of sculpture workshops because I felt like doing something different for this next event. I’m not sure what 2023 will bring. I will still have my wildflower designs as in previous open studios but hopefully a few new art pieces in the mix as well.
