Living and working in the Cape Naturaliste area has given me scope to study all aspects of this special environment. Every facet of this is environment is special from the bush to the ocean. The Meelup ridge has so much diversity. Some of the flora is only in this area. Walking each morning through this area lets me reflect and look carefully at the amazing morning light, textures, colours and shapes in the environment. Using no toxic processes as much as I can I use a number of printmaking techniques to achieve my outcomes. Using photographs as a reference for colour and shapes in making my plates to print. Natural flora is used in some instances. I have been exploring the use of colour and texture by using linocut, woodblocks, collagraphs and screen prints.
