I am a South African-born artist, originally from Cape Town, now creating in beautiful Margaret River. Art has always been part of my life and I have recently returned to it with renewed passion, enjoying the joy of making and the connection it brings.
My work explores place and landscape through emotion and texture. Using palette knives, pastels and layered oils, I create interpretations of the natural world, capturing light, movement, and atmosphere. The process of building and scraping surfaces allows me to engage fully with each painting and the environment that inspires it.
Living in Margaret River, I feel lucky to be surrounded by such beauty. I spend time running, walking, and swimming in the ocean, experiences that inform the way I see colour, texture, and light in my work.
Sharing a studio with my mum adds another dimension to my practice. Our practice reflects togetherness, creativity, and shared inspiration. Through my paintings I hope to offer viewers a sense of calm and enjoyment, and to invite them to see familiar landscapes in a new way. Each piece is an exploration of light, texture, and the quiet joy of making.
