Through participating, you will have the opportunity to hear how a labyrinth may be used to relax, replenish, restore, access deeper intuition & creativity. You will have the opportunity to explore various designs, draw your own & experience a walk of a labyrinth. Nari has four on her property for you to explore.
Labyrinths over centuries & in all cultures have been used as a focus point and medium for communities to come together and for individuals to physically and symbolically journey well and meaningfully with their lives. Life is felt and seen as a whole and a creative possibility. Labyrinths in this modern age (in hospitals, hospices, cathedrals, prisons, community centres, parks and schools) are being used as invitations to move from our usual busy lives to learn to relish quieter being and nurturing spaces within and around us. Extensive research from a variety of settings strongly suggests that the walking of labyrinths creates “opportunities to re-energise, re-focus, reduce stress, seek clarity, facilitate calm, and nurture the soul,” (Fairbloom, L. 2003).
