Artist Membership & Event Registration
2026 Artist Registrations are open from 1 to 31 March 2026.
Eligibility Guidelines
Open to all artists and artisans living AND practising art in the Margaret River Region from Busselton to Augusta. This includes professional, established, emerging, student and hobby artists.
- Also open to art groups, student groups and art clubs working in the region.
- Each event participant must be a member of Margaret River Region Open Studios (see below for further information).
- All artists must ideally have their own studio/workspace ready to open for the event. If your studio is unsuitable for visitors please let us know and we may be able to find a venue for you to participate. Please email art@mrros.com.au to see if we can assist you.
- If your studio is in a commercial venue then that business will need to become a venue sponsor of the event. Please email art@mrros.com.au for details.
- Artists are required to be present and their studio open for at least 12 days of the event.
- Artists sharing a studio or participating together must each pay a separate registration fee. Artists may not allow any unregistered artist to display work or share their space.
NEW Requirements for 2026
- You will be asked to provide the names and email addresses of two fellow artists who can endorse your application and confirm that you live and practise art within the Margaret River region. As Open Studios has grown, interest from artists outside the region has increased. This endorsement process helps us ensure the event remains a genuine showcase of local artists.
- All participating artists are required to hold Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of $20 million for the duration of the event. By completing the registration, artists acknowledge and accept responsibility for arranging and maintaining this insurance. MRROS will not be liable for any claims arising from incidents at studios, and it is the artist’s responsibility to ensure adequate coverage is in place.
PLEASE NOTE: All registrations will be reviewed, and those that do not meet the criteria of living and practicing art in the region, will be refunded minus an administration fee of $300.
If you are unsure about your eligibility please contact us at art@mrros.com.au
