For the first time we are launching the event at 8am on Saturday (before studios open at 10am) with an inspiring session by multi-award winning Australian artist Michael Zavros.

Michael is known for his extraordinary technical prowess, captivating audiences with his realistic renderings and surreal juxtapositions. He exhibits nationally and internationally with a 25 year survey exhibition of his work currently on show at QAGMA.

Michael is one of Australia’s leading artists and we are delighted to welcome him to Open Studios in his first ever visit to WA.

Join us for a continental breakfast and coffee at Margaret River Heart followed by an insightful talk and Q&A session with Michael.

The session will be led by Open Studios Art Ambassador and leading Perth-based designer, and champion of the arts, Andrew Thornton Hick. Andrew is at Open Studios to connect our artists to state-wide art lovers, interior designers and architects.
