Lesley Curtis is an award’s winning artist born in Northam, Western Australia.
I am proud to present a captivating art exhibition that pays tribute to the world of native birds and animals, researching my subject as part of the process of creating the artworks.
This exhibition promises to be a visual feast, offering a unique glimpse into the heart and soul of the artist who has spent over 12 years capturing the vibrant beauty of our avian neighbors and their friends.
With an exquisite blend of painting and drawings, this exhibition showcases Lesley’s mastery of various artistic techniques in the use of Watercolor, Gouache, Colored Pencils and Acrylic mediums, adding extra depth to the work using airbrushing techniques. I paint in a style of realism, specifically in natures realism. My work is detailed sometimes choosing to have a muted or plain background. This technique showcases the vibrancy of the subject to the for. My lifetime love of animals and nature shows in my pretrial, the subject matter, with their personalities captured within the artwork.
Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the Artist passion in person, hearing the creative process, and gaining insights into the inspiration behind her work.
My commitment to preserving and celebrating the beauty of native birds and animals is evident in every brushstroke and pencil line, making “Inspired by Nature” a must see event for art enthusiasts, nature lovers, and the community alike.
We, the Community often take for granted, the incredible diversity and beauty of the birds and animals that share our environment. Through my art, I hope to inspire others to appreciate and protect these magnificent creatures. They are a source of endless wonder and inspiration for all.
