I make portraits and 3D cut paper sculptures that explore the patterns and complexities of my own human experience. I enjoy the 'technical' side of making art - the design and mapping of ideas - and pay a lot of attention to the little details. Paper and pencil are my long time loves, although I work in many mediums such as watercolour, oil paint and charcoal.

In recent months I have been creating mostly with cut paper and exploring its use as a sculptural medium. I love that such an humble surface can take on such unexpected effects when mixed with pattern, folding, and layering to play with the light.
