As a ceramic artist, my practice centers around storytelling through the creation of characters in clay, and large-scale public art installations from ceramics.
Clay is a deeply expressive and tactile
medium; it allows for both playfulness and depth, capturing the spirit of human experience in a way that is accessible, engaging, inclusive and enduring. My work is rooted in narrative work and imagination, often drawing on whimsical or familiar motifs to create scenes and figures that evoke curiosity, warmth, and emotional connection.
I am particularly interested in how ceramic art can act as a bridge between people and spaces, infusing environments with personality and comfort. Each piece I create, whether a small sculptural figure or a sprawling ceramic mural, is designed to invite the viewer into a story.
These stories are not prescriptive; they are open-ended, encouraging personal interpretation and reflection. This openness allows my work to resonate across age groups and cultural backgrounds, fostering inclusivity and shared experience.
