My work is a celebration of the natural environment found here on my doorstep and around WA. The bush, the forest, the birds and the ocean. I’m fascinated by the seasons, the diversity, the delicate balance of chaos and order.

This is Fi's 12th year taking part in our Event.
Lifetime Membership with Open Studios and Founding Artist.
Living in Margaret River in the south west of WA for over 30 years, its landscape, flora and fauna and the stories that exist within it , inspire her work daily and fulltime practice.
Her work can be found in 48 of the bedrooms of the Busselton Hilton Hotel.
and soon her work will be found used as a feature image at the Kings Park Cafe at Frasers Restaurant in Perth.
She is represented in private collections across Australia and internationally and her work is used regularly to inspire art education in primary and secondary schools.

Fi would describe herself as a painter, maker and illustrator and teacher.
She writes a regular Substack Blog 'Artist on an Expedition which is all about her travels, being an artist and the use of her art to meet, connect and celebrate the different parts of WA her project Wander Out Yonder has taken her so far.
You can now find her offering her workshops from Stackwood Studios in Fremantle - She is passionate about using her skills in Art to help build creative confidence in others - especially those who like to call themselves 'raw beginners'.
She is a multi-skilled artist working in a variety of mediums.
Her work with painted paper Collage, paper Sculpture, Print Making and Hardware Collage balances her time working directly in the landscape - sketching or painting en plein air - All her work is about the flora and fauna that inspires that she finds outside her door.
She is a passionate advocate for the visual arts, regional communities, endangered fauna, natural landscapes and the creative arts and enjoys art education, public speaking and facilitating more understanding for those outside the arts. Her background in History of Art, Graphic and Interior design and business has helped her develop a range of homewares and gift products using her images and ideas.
She is a daily ocean swimmer and bird watcher, bushwalker, dog lover, vegetable grower and loves nothing more than good out loud laugh.
