Lifetime Membership with Open Studios, board member for 8 years and Founding Artist.
She is a multi-skilled artist working across a variety of mediums.
After travelling extensively throughout WA she created the ongoing Touring Exhibition and community workshop program, Wander Out Yonder. A celebration of the diversity and iconic locations around WA.
Discover her work in public spaces around WA including, Kings Park Botanical Cafe at Frasers Restaurant in Perth, the Busselton Hilton Hotel, Shire of Augusta Margaret River, South Coogee Primary School.
She is represented in private collections across Australia and internationally and her work is used regularly to inspire art education programs in primary and secondary schools.
In addition to her home studio, she runs a studio in Fremantle where she offers workshops to the public to prioritise building creative confidence in others - especially those who may not normally take an art class - lets call them 'raw beginners'.
Find her writings about Creativity, living a creative life, her practice and her travels with her project Wander Out Yonder - Artist on and Expedition published on Substack.
Her work with Painted Paper Collage, Paper Sculpture, Print Making and Hardware Mixed Media Collage, balances her time working directly in the landscape - where you'll find her sketching or painting en plein air - camping in the bush and bringing science and art together thru research and collaboration with those in the know.
She is a passionate advocate for the visual arts, regional communities, endangered fauna, natural landscapes and the creative arts and enjoys art education, public speaking and facilitating more understanding for those outside the arts. Her background in History of Art, Graphic and Interior design has helped her develop a range of homewares and gift products using her images and ideas.
She is a daily ocean swimmer and bird watcher, bushwalker, dog lover, vegetable grower and loves nothing more than good out loud laugh.
She will tell you she doesn't know what she is doing, but underneath her energetic and easily distracted ADHD ways, is a perfectionist with a keen eye for detail , observation and a desire to bring her ideas to life in a completely unique way.
