His artworks explore concepts of memory, stories and places, seeking to absorb and entertain the viewer through joyful narrative, movement and design aesthetics. Paintings are created on a variety of scales – in the streets, on land and in the studio through drawings, paintings, prints, photo images and more.
Born in South Africa, Ian Mutch draws inspiration from landscapes, animals, travelling, cultures and patterns. After graduating Design & Advertising at Curtin University, Ian co-published international street art magazine Kingbrown and has been an industry speaker at Agideas Melbourne, the Design Institute of Australia and Semi Permanent Sydney. Ian has also written and illustrated a children’s storybook titled “More and More and More”, published in Australia, South Korea and Turkey.
