Discover Fi's distinctive work celebrating the Australian bush. Living surrounded by the native flora and fauna of the South West she is drawn to observe the delicate change of season and the contrast of chaos and order with the bush landscape.
This past year she has been developing her work in illustration, specifically working in the medium of painted paper collage. She is also working on a series depicting some of the most diverse and iconic landscapes around WA and the bird species found there. In recent years her work has drawn more and more inspiration from travelling around the regions, meeting the locals and running community workshops. The diversity of landscape and its local species in flora and fauna, provides constant points of interest and intrigue.
She is a full time artist and creates and teaches workshops in drawing, painting, sketch booking, plein air painting and collage.
This is her 10th year participating in the event, she has recently stepped down from the board after 9 years volunteering and is a proud advocate for artists in the region. She has print gallery upstairs in Mukau, Cowaramup and opens her studio for workshops and Open Studios.
