Inspired by nature`s bounty and Mexican motifs, Vanessa Miller`s given her water tank, and fence a glow up ~ will it be your home next, with one of her paintings, decorated bowls or candlestick holders?
Like most of our artists, Vanessa opens her purpose-built home studio just once a year for Open Studios, so don`t miss your opportunity to explore and get inspired. You`ll find her just north of Cowaramup, and it`s a real pocket of creativity, with over a dozen artists in and around the town.

At the very back of the garden of Camille Reid`s Busselton home is a sea container. Within that sea container, a pottery studio where Camille throws noodle bowls, platters and mugs, finished with tactile and textured glazes.
Lately Camille`s ventured further into functional pottery, making delicate pendant lights and zigzagged lamps that illuminate with retro style.

Barbara Weeks makes a little magic with Australian wool and fine silks, water and soap. "There is an element of risk and of serendipity and the pleasure of working directly with the hands."
Her `Woolybutt` quilt (pictured, image 3) has been juried into Art Quilt Australia and is on display at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum in Victoria. Fortunately, a smaller framed piece on the same theme will be at Open Studios, where you can meet Barbara and see how she combines colour and texture in her fabrics.

Is it a landscape photo taken from the air? Or detail of molten glass?
No, this is Britta Wilson`s fluid art, intricate patterns that start with three types of acrylic paint carefully spread on the substrate... but you`d best visit her studio for a better explanation and demonstration!
Britta works from her Burnside home studio, which is quite the artistic hub now, with a handful of artists just north of the river.

Amanda Hanson is new to Open Studios, so please make her welcome!
A self-described maximalist, she works in mixed media and papercraft, with a love of all things vintage, whimsical and bizarre. We`ve only seen a handful of her collages and quilling art, but look forward to exploring her studio and seeing the artist in action.

Marvellous Molly Coy is back, with her eclectic printmaking studio open for us to enjoy. Tucked behind Cowaramup`s main street, it`s packed wall-to-wall and to the top of the tall ceilings with painting and bookbinding materials and carefully collected inks, papers and vintage presses.
Margaret River Region Open Studios begins in less than three weeks, and 151 artists look forward to making you welcome. Discover an abundance of creativity at Open Studios this spring.
