Exploring simple composition and drawing to form the basis of our painting we move on to applying tonal values to create a monochromatic underpainting.
Observing the effects of light on our subject matter we translate value to colour, mixing to explore saturation and hue with attention to temperature and finally, application bringing it all together to arrive at a single session artwork.
A relaxed studio environment with a maximum six participants ensures generous individual guidance along with live demonstrations.
Apply knowledge gained from this introductory workshop and save by coupling a second day workshop (Wednesday) in Portraiture or Still Life.
All workshop equipment and supplies provided. You will take away your painted canvas.
