Much of my artistic inspiration stems from the natural world that surrounds me.
By breaking down the complex visual elements of the natural world into a series of carefully registered colour layers, I aim to evoke a sense of depth, movement, and emotion within my prints. The resulting artwork is a meditation on the beauty that can be found in our immediate surroundings, - a celebration of the colours, shapes, and patterns that so often go unnoticed in our day-to-day lives.
By simplifying the intricacies of the landscape into layers of bold colour, I invite the viewer to experience the landscape anew - not as a faithful representation, but as a distillation of its most fundamental qualities.
It is my hope that by embracing this bold, graphic language, I can inspire a renewed sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Through this process, I hope to share my deep appreciation for the local flora & landscape, and to invite the viewer to slow down and immerse themselves in the subtleties of the view. Each print is a unique, handcrafted object, with its own quirks and imperfections that speak to the tactile, human quality of printmaking.
