I create vibrant, heirloom-quality naïve paintings, each evolving over several months. I also enjoy fine art glass and marble mosaics. My work has been featured in international mosaic publications. Inspired by the colour, community and spirit of coastal life, my practice is grounded in a deep appreciation for place—particularly where land meets sea—capturing the joy, rhythm and quiet beauty of everyday environments.
Working across both painting and mosaic allows me to explore texture, light and detail in complementary ways. My paintings are developed slowly in layered, archival-quality acrylics, building rich colour relationships and intricate compositions that invite the viewer to linger. In mosaic, I work with glass, marble and fused elements, thoughtfully placing each piece to create enduring works that interact with light and space. This process reflects a strong commitment to craftsmanship and to creating pieces of lasting, heirloom quality.
My style is intentionally naïve, embracing simplicity, shifting perspectives, storytelling and a sense of play. Through this visual language, I aim to create work that is both accessible and uplifting, while conveying a strong sense of narrative and joy. I am drawn to iconic coastal locations, community landmarks and the subtle patterns of nature, translating them into compositions that feel familiar, vibrant and celebratory.
Public art is an important extension of my practice. Creating mosaics for shared spaces allows my work to become part of everyday life, contributing to a sense of identity, connection and belonging within the community. Whether in a private collection or a public setting such as Kings Park Botanic Gardens, I hope my work encourages people to pause, notice their surroundings, and find joy in the beauty of the ordinary.
My work is held in public and private collections worldwide.
