I worked as a book illustrator for many years but love many mediums too - oil painting (large and impressionist), sewing (dolls), drawing, and watercolours (whimsical, dreamy style). I have dabbled in pottery and printmaking too.

I have worked as a book illustrator and artist for many years. I mostly draw (pen, pencil, watercolour), paint in oils, and sew dolls, but I do dabble in pottery and printmaking too. And I have painted a couple of murals. I would call my drawings 'day-dreaming' illustration (whatever comes to mind on that day). My paintings are usually people and landscapes (impressionist), and my dolls are a mixture of animals and people dressed in crazy clothing inspired by the 60s and 70s. There is so much in the world to draw inspiration from. I love design (clothes, furniture, jewellery), pattern (textiles, nature), landscapes (deserts, mountains, forests, grasslands, rivers), people, politics, the environment, culture, animation, documentaries. I keep a huge 'library' of collections on Pinterest - kind of my Encyclopaedia of Things to be Inspired By.
