Tracey is a mixed media intuitive artist painting abstracts. Through her intuition she translates impressions of the environment around her into multi layered abstract paintings. Her art practice is very colour driven. Her pieces combine simplistic florals with shapes and mark making.

They begin by colour choice then multiple layers are added building on shapes of interest, the layers build the texture and each layer builds on defining shapes of interest and adding florals and mark making. Tracey strives to paint happy colourful art to evoke feelings of joy and interest to the eye. Using acrylic paint, pens and inks mainly on the canvases. Her paintings relate more to inward feeling rather than intellect.

She is continually looking at new ways to further develop her visual language, she explores new ways of mark making in her art journals, this has been a practise she does daily if possible for the past 9 years, they are her art record keepers and they vary greatly through the years, they hold her journey, progress and growth.

The influence of working with textiles from a young age is always coming through her final stages of art. Crochet, knitting and sewing are very prevalent in her daily life.

Her love of all the beauty Mother Nature provides is her biggest inspiration. Always looking at the world through the artists eye wherever she goes exploring and sourcing new ideas for marks and impressions she can take back to her studio and explore more in works.
