Sandy Winkle's creative arts practice is inspired by her intimate appreciation for the natural environment that inspires her every day. Her love of photography takes her to all corners of the world, seeking out what makes people and cultures different. Along with capturing her love of bees. Sandy is an eclectic artist her work is colourful and decorative, often using recycled silk paper and is always exploring different mediums and continues to grow as an established artist. Her overall vision is to invite the viewer into her artistic space called The Sheila Shack and interact and relate to the diverse collection of art. Mosaic sculptures adorn the gardens and up cycling busts created with found treasures are a tactile passion for those who love a bit of bling in their lives. Weaving Workshops are often held at the Sheila Shack and she is happy to share her knowledge of up-cycling basket weaving, which is contagious as she also weaves with natural fibres and recycled jewellery, this brings women together to encourage connection and creativity. Sandy works with acrylic, mixed media and oils and will be show casing her original art in miniature format and ornate frames this year.
