Olivia Lancaster 2023 Painting/Drawing/Photography Inspiration comes mainly from my love of Margaret River’s amazing seascapes, forests, native plants, and birds. I am also inspired by our northwest’s bold bright colours and structural beauty. I studied drawing, painting, and design at Perth Art School in the early 1970s. Later in life, I attended Murdoch University in Perth to qualify as a Primary and Early Childhood Teacher and then spent many enjoyable years teaching in schools throughout the South West of WA. I now have my own business called OLIVIA’S ART and teach Art Classes to both children and adults. As a Visual Art Teacher in Schools, I was proficient in using a number of art mediums, including watercolours, acrylics, graphite pencils, colour pencils, charcoal, soft pastels, textiles, collage, clay, and others. At present, I am concentrating on using acrylics on canvas and Prismacolor pencils on paper.
