Coloured pencils are my favourite medium. I get inspiration from the colours in the landscapes around my home. From vivid blue skies, orange sunsets, every shade of green and the striking reds and yellows in our beautiful southwest wildflowers. I enjoy recreating texture in my drawings mostly in the form of fur and feathers, but I also like to draw flowers and plants. I predominantly draw on black paper as I love the depth of shadow this allows me to create in my artwork. Big puppy dog eyes and wet noses are a favourite of mine, having completed many commissions of cherished furry companions. When I'm not drawing I sometimes play with clay and create colourful ornaments that are just for fun or you may find me making gemstone bracelets from cotton and hemp.
