Danielle walker is based in Margaret River. The mother of three has always had a passion for drawing and painting. From an early age she is never far from a drawing pad and pencil. Not encouraged to pursue her passion for the arts Dani spent many years working in other fields and parenting. She never lost her passion and in 2006 she decided to dedicate her spare time to painting. Self-taught and predominantly working in acrylics and mixed media, Danielle has developed a unique style that draws the viewer into her subject by layering and playing with perspective. Having travelled extensively before settling in Margaret River in 2002 Danielle draws from the natural world around her. Themes in her work include botanicals, forests and people from other cultures. In 2020 Dani became involved in The Hive Margaret River Art Collective and has her own studio to work from. She has been able to connect with a community of artists of different genre which has inspired her to grow as an artist. “Being in the open studios is a dream come true. I look forward to meeting the public and sharing my passion for art.”
